Listing creates are disabled for frozen shops

  • I have a WP website hosted by SiteGround. The site consists of an e-commerce (woocommerce) store stocked with products published from Printify. I have run into a problem where listings have ceased publishing as expected. This is a new problem – I have previously successfully published 300+ Printify products to the store. Printify advise that the problem is showing in their error logs as ‘Listing creates are disabled for frozen shops’. I have spoken with Siteground and there are no issues with the website. Both they and Printify state the problem is at the WP end. My store is premierleaguegear.com. They appear to be no problems with the site itself.

    I have deactivated all WP plugins in case one of them is causing the problem but that made no difference.

    Is anyone able to help me out here?

  • When I go to your website I only see an Under Construction page. So no content at all. From the point of view of an external service provider, this could mean that the shop is not online at all (I think this also corresponds to the “frozen shop” that they call an error). You would have to remove this page and make the shop accessible to everyone. This will probably solve the problem.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I will take your advice and change the ‘home’ page. I would have thought that, while setting up the website, it would make sense to have a page stating that the site is under construction while it is actually under construction. I wouldn’t have thought that this would stop the construction process. I’ve also had an issue with prices provided by Printify being changed when they appeared in WP and didn’t want these to show while they were incorrect. Anyway, enough of my excuses. I’ll try your suggestion and get back to you.

    I made the changes you suggested. It didn’t make any difference but, I guess, it will take time for the change to be recognised. Or is there something I can do to initiate that?

    When I call up the homepage of your website, I only see this Underconstruction page. It still seems to be different in style from the other pages.

    Unfortunately, I do not know how Printify determines this status. Therefore, you would have to contact their support to clarify this question.

    the home page should be showing up as the normal welcome page. I suspect you’re seeing the “Under Construction” page from the cache. When I visit it, all appears correct. I’ll touch base with Printify and see what they say about the appearance of the home page and how it might affect the publishing of products. Again, thanks so much for your guidance.     Just a follow-up. I just tried again to publish a product and it worked!! I can only assume your advice has paid off!! Thanks again. You have saved me a lot of heartache.
