List view not working for calendar events

This in general comes down to feed settings a lot of the time. If you can post your link here and let me know the settings you are using I would be glad to help get it resolved.

Unfortunately, we can not disclose the URL of the client but here is a run down of the issue and our current settings.

Symptoms are that the Grid (Calendar Widget) is pulling in the events but the list view is not.

The current setup is as follows:

We have 2 GCal Feeds setup. Both call the same feed. One is set to Grid and the other to List. The Grid seems to be working fine but the list view does not. The List GCal Feed is set to the same settings as the Grid Feed (except layout option).

We are using:

– Latest WordPress
– GCal Event Feed 2.1.7

Just wanted to update on the solution. The old version we updated from did not used the shortcode to display event content. During the update to the latest version no shortcode was created for the new post type (list view). This was confusing on our end.

I embedded some shortcode to display the event content and it populated. We then, just had to change some styles for the new DOM output.

I seem to be having the same issue with list view not working. It stopped working when I updated to the latest version. The grid view under Calendar tab still works. I’ve looked at the feeds to see if a setting might be at issue but don’t readily see the issue. I’m already using a short code to display the list. Website URL as follows:

It would seem that removing the check from the tool tips Grid view and replacing a new short code on the page has fixed the issue of the listing view not showing on the page. Not sure if the tool tips check box was the issue or it just needed to have the short code pasted into the html body area again.

All is well again.
