When viewing the events calendar by List View, the 2017 calendar items are not displayed in chronological order. If you click Next through the items you’ll end up at the end with October 2016, but then if you click Previous then you’ll see 2017 items sprinkled in. Any thoughts?

  • I’m having a similar issue on one of the sites I help with, but in my case all upcoming events (not just 2017) are displayed out of order. I think (but am not sure) that the events are showing in reverse chrono order by date created (or possibly edited). The next/previous links at the bottom of individual event pages are also messed up.

My sidebar widget is displaying events properly, as is the calendar view.

Interestingly, this is no happening on two other sites where I use the plugin, so I’m wondering if this is an issue with either the active theme or another plugin.

Your post got me thinking about my plugins and I found a culprit. The plugin “Post Types Order” messes up the order of my calendar. Go figure, right?

You win. I don’t have that plugin installed, and I’ve deactivated all the likely culprits on the problem site but am still seeing the issue. Next move is to change themes, I suppose.

    Hi guys.

We have logged a bug similar to this for Month View, which I can confirm on my local testing site, but not List View.

Could you please verify List View is the issue and provide any links, screenshots, or any steps to replicate the issue?

I managed to solve my issue by doing two things: (1) updated The Events Calendar plugin, and (2) disabling a conflicting plugin. I’m pretty sure #2 was the real culprit, but I only figured it out by disabling all my plugs, then reenabling The Events Calendar, and THEN enabling likely suspects one at a time.

    Awesome work guys!

Doing what you did is exactly the correct way to test for conflicts.

You are welcome back in our support forums any time ??

    Have a great weekend!
