• We are currently using The Event Calendar on a dedicated watersports website https://www.swanseabay4watersports.com. We are experiencing a couple of issues with it in both calendar and list view. We would very much appreciate it if any light could be shed on this. We’re using a StudioPress theme on the Genesis framework.

In Calendar View – event entries are showing up fine, but when you click the link to read more about an individual event, it takes you back to the homepage instead.

In List View the website field isn’t showing up alongside any events – a web address is always entered in the correct field during setup.

Also when you navigate to the event calendar our navBar dissappears.

Any help with these issues would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • I’m having similar problems and they haven’t been resolved so I’m looking for a better events calendar….

Thanks for the notes, folks. These are certainly not core behaviors of the plugin so it does sound like there is something specific to your installs at play here. Based on what I saw in kricklewoodfarm’s other thread, I’ll assume they found a different solution.

For yours, louis.haltondavies: when you note your calendar view problem, I wonder if that’s the byproduct of another plugin (I’m seeing the same thing on your site). Have you confirmed if this still persists even with no other plugins active? That’s worth figuring out for sure. On top of that, please see if the problem persists when you turn on a pretty permalinks structure like /%postname%/.

The list view problem you mention: how are you adding this website URL? For the organizer? If so, that isn’t intended to show in list view by default and would require some modification of the plugin to accomplish. Let me know if I’m misunderstood on that end.
