    Hi,

Your plugin doesn’t work, takes forever to load and then doesn’t, Fetching next step doesn’t load> Loading stuck, only gives 47%, won’t send email, hardening Loading constantly + status loads ~ 1/2, clicking on View does nothing but blank pg, shows:

Your site is vulnerable to user enumeration attacks.

WordPress 301 redirect enabled. We recommend to enable a 301 .htaccess redirect.

Email verification has not been completed yet. Check your email and click the link

It is currently possible to create an administrator user with the same login and display name.

Code execution is allowed in the public ‘Uploads’ folder.

Really Simple SSL has a new feature! Introducing Vulnerability Detection, enable it now.

Your WordPress version is visible to others. (did just download wpcode, but did nothing for this warning)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @hopskip,

    Plugin can’t load
If the plugin’s pages are not able to load correctly on your website, there might be an issue with the REST API on your environment. If I visit the /wp-json/wp/v2/posts/ on your domain, it returns a 404 Not Found instead of the expected content.

Please see this article for further details, the “Permalinks” and “REST API Disabled” sections in particular:

    https://really-simple-ssl.com/instructions/how-to-debug-a-blank-settings-page-in-really-simple-ssl/

    Dashboard notices
The Dashboard notices can be resolved by enabling the features that are mentioned, in the Settings panel of the Really Simple SSL plugin. Or, if you do not wish to enable the features that are mentioned, by simply dismissing these notices by clicking the “X” behind the notice that it concerns.

    E-mails
The verification e-mail is sent with the standard WordPress Mail functionality, via your own server. If you don’t receive the e-mails (please also check the spamfolder), there might be a misconfiguration in the e-mail settings of your environment. You could verify & adjust your e-mail settings with a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP.

Rest assured though, that even if you don’t receive the verification e-mail: these notices will also be displayed in the SSL Dashboard itself.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Thanks for the info.

I did just install “Check & Log Email” plugin and received an email immediately. Their plugin is wonderful. So my WP site does work.

Is there anyway to fix your plugin?

    Hi @hopskip,

The behavior whereby the dashboard/settings pages show a blank page, could occur due to a restriction on the REST API. If I try to reach the /wp-json/wp/v2/posts/ on your domain, it throws the following “401 Forbidden” message by the Solid Security plugin:

You do not have sufficient permission to access this endpoint. Access to REST API requests is restricted by Solid Security settings.

If the REST API is accessible to the plugin again, that should allow the Dashboard to load as well; after which you can also try re-sending the verification e-mail in the plugin’s settings.

    Kind regards, Jarno

I don’t quite understand. I just recently added Solid Security. It didn’t work before that either.

    Thanks for reply.

    Hi @hopskip,

Are you able to access the plugin’s settings now, or still receiving an error while loading the page? In case of the latter, could you check if:

    – there are any PHP errors being logged when you enable Debugging in WordPress (either by adding these lines to your wp-config.php, or with a plugin like WP Debugging) and visit the page once more?

    – there are any errors being logged in the browser console (CTRL + Shift + C -> “Console” tab) whilst on the page?

    Kind regards, Jarno
