    Just curious why there are two lists with the same content?
    -> Expired Members
    -> Old Members
    It’s the same list, why is it in the dropdown twice? Very confusing.
    Especially since
    -> All Levels
    doesn’t actually mean “all levels”. It means “all levels, EXCEPT, old and expired and cancelled”.

    Also ran into an issue where apparently, after editing someone in a different tab, the dropdown doesn’t list anyone. It’s as though the entire member list is gone. But you have to refresh the page for the dropdown of membership list to work again.

    Overall that page listing memberships is very confusing. Especially considering wordpress has it’s own role built in which is totally separate.
    If you have the membership pro plugin to clone the Memberships as wordpress roles, shouldn’t your automatic cron job:
    1.) Update the person’s membership to Expired role or Subscriber role.
    2.) Set all wordpress roles to match the Membership id level.

    ?? Yes or no to those questions?

    Very confusing.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    When a user has their level removed, they don’t show up in the “All levels” tab. I understand you wanting it to function as an “All Users” tab. I do in common practice as well when I run a search there and don’t find someone because they cancelled their membership.

    FYI we used to have just “Old Members” which was all users who had a level before and no longer have a level. Now we still have that for prosperity but added the “Expired Members” and “Cancelled Members” options to show specifically users who expired or cancelled.

    RE roles, did you mean this plugin: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/pmpro-roles/

    It would be a nice feature to automatically assign members the correct role when that is activated. That’s not easy because sites with large numbers of users would time out and need a smarter background process to update roles over time. We’re not working on that actively now. I’m open to pull requests.

    In the meantime, there should be other ways out there through importers, SQL queries, or other plugins to change a lot of user’s roles at once.

    A work around that helps on some sites is to have all users in a default free level and placed there when they cancel. That way all members have a level that you can interact with.

    See these posts:

    If they are paywalled, you can find the code on gist.github.com by searching on the title.

    Awesome thank you !! Exactly the info I was needing. Super fast response to boot.

    I’ll try to reorganize the tier and give those posts a read as well. It sounds like there are definitely some options to improve this. And I think I understand the listing better now.

    Thanks again!
