    Hi,
My client is happily using mDocs folders and posts all over his site but has requested a page that lists the most accessed documents. Is there a shortcode or other approach that will let me list the top “n” documents in terms of number of views?

    Many thanks,
    Phil.

The best you could do is to create a page that uses the top downloaded files widget.

But there is no analytics for most page views in mDocs.

    Thanks. That works fine.
Is there a shortcode equivalent of the “Top Downloaded files” widget? I’ve included the widget in the page content using pagebuilder but a more elegant solution would be to use a shortcode on the page.

I also need to add a further section containing those mdocs posts which have been categorised “frequently-used-document”. Can you provide any guidance on how to approach this?

    Thanks,
    Phil.

currently there is not. I will add it to the feature request list.

    Thanks for the comments.

Very many thanks for your help.
As an interim fix, and for the benefit of any other developers trying to solve a similar problem, I have created a list of the required posts using Bill Erickson’s plug-in Display Posts Shortcode.

    [display-posts category=”frequently-used-document” post_type=”mdocs-posts”]

    Kind regards,
    Phil.
