List of posts from other wordpress install

I’m using a wordpress theme for my portfolio but because this theme isn’t exactly perfect for a blog, I’m using a 2nd wordpress install with an alternative theme so that the posts from either don’t interfere with each other.

Would it be possible to have a recent posts list from my blog, on my portfolio, even though they’re 2 different wordpress installs?
