list of plugins (recommended/top/etc) gone in plugin-install page

  • After an update to 4.1 I suddenly could not install any new plugins. the page showing the plugins from the directory shows up just fine, but the lists are empty and I cannot search for plugins.
    My list of installed plugins seems to be ok.

    Can anyone help me fix this irritating problem?
