I have lost my website files and had to re-install them from scratch. The DB was intact though.

So, I copied the WP files, theme files and now I am up to plugins.

The problem is that I don’t remember all the plugins that were installed.

The first time I went to the plugin tab in AdminCP, I saw a list of referenced missing plugins.

I installed the first one back and when I clicked again in the plugins tab I coudn’t find that list again.

Is there any way of getting it back so i can see what plugins I need to install again?

    Thanks ??

  • If you haven’t closed your browser yet, just using the browser “back button” might show you that page with the list again.

The other alternative might be to use your last local copy of your site file backup for reference. All of the plugins you were using should be located in the /plugins directory located in your last complete backup.

[edit] assuming that this: “I have lost my website files and had to re-install them from scratch.” doesn’t mean your backups are gone as well, of course.

    Thanks for your reply Clayton.

    1) I tried going back but when it got to the plugins page it didn’t show that info again.

    2) Unfortunately I don’t have a backup. That’s why I am in this situation ??

I’m thinking there should be a log somewhere….where this error that showed up was recorded??

While I’m not 100% sure, my best guess would be that it probably wasn’t logged anywhere.

I suppose this might be possible, but I really don’t know how effective it would be; You could try a Google search on your domain name using the “cache” operator. Example: cache:yoursitename.com

Once viewing the cached page, view the source code. From there, use the browser “Find” function – usually (Ctrl+f) – then find and highlight all results for the term “/plugins” (without the quotes, of course) on the cached page. That might, maybe, show you all the plugins that were active on the last crawl of the page. That’s a pretty big maybe, but I guess it might be possible.

I found an old of the DB so I put it there temporarily and I got the message I was looking for.

Thanks for your help Clayton! ??

Nice! Glad you were able to recover it!
