• Hi Yannick!

    Hope this finds you well.

Is there a way to only list new links? I’d like to be able to show what’s new.

    Thank you,
    Ray

It is not possible at this time but definitely something that I can add in when I get a moment. Definitely by the end of this coming long week-end.

    Yannick,

No need to – I figured I can just pull in the RSS feed for links and use that for the latest, doh!

    Take care,

I’m not sure I understand how displaying the rss feed for links is the same as displaying a list of links that have recently been added to your site. I still think there’s value to have an option only to show new links and will add it soon.

RSS displays new stuff in reverse chronological order so it was just a matter of using an RSS widget to show the latest, say ten, new links from the link library RSS feed.

I didn’t want to expend your resources on this since it was easy to do. If you go ahead, I’ll be happy to contribute towards it.

Hi Ray, Just published version 7.1.9 with 2 new options under the Links tab of Library Configuration. One is a checkbox that lets you say if only updated/new links should be displayed. The other is a numeric field where you can indicate how many days should be considered as updated/new.

Please give it a shot and let me know if this works better for you.

    Got the update, much appreciated!

Quick question – how do I display this as a separate standalone list in addition to the existing list of links?

    Thanks!

You would first need to increase the number of libraries to 2 or higher under Global options. Then, extra ui will appear in library configurations to be able to select and edit each configuration.

Once you have a new config, your can add settings=”2″ parameter to shortcode, using the correct library number.

Your can also clone existing configurations as starting points for new ones. It would probably make sense to use the option to combine results in this new library to merge links from all categories.

Let me know if this is clear.
