    Yes you can easily display the links in two columns through css, I have already given the unique classes in ul tags for post and pages, so through css you can easily manage it as you want.

    I know how to make two distinct lists into 2 columns using CSS, but how do I make your sitemap divide the output into 2 separate lists?

    its true- plugin is what i need!
    But i cant figure how to set two columns! There is no css in plug folder o_0

    Could you please share me the URL of your project then i will let you know what you exactly need to add on your css to make links in two coloum.
    or you can add the below code on your css to make the output into two column.

    .manage_page {float: left;}
    .manage_post {float: right;}
