List Custom Taxonomy Terms with Descriptions in sidebar?

  • Hey all,

    I’m currently working on a site, and the client would like to have the custom taxonomy I have created, listed in the sidebar with the description of that particular taxonomy as well.

    I am currently using the plugin “Custom Taxonomies Menu Widget” but this will only list the terms. So I am looking for another solution.

    If anyone could help that would be great!

    If your taxonomies are fairly static, you could just pour the html listing the terms and descriptions into the text widget.

    Otherwise you could extend the plugin to echo out the descriptions along with the terms. You will want to rename it to avoid any hack erasing updates.
