    There are the Category Templates these use the page when the category is selected.

    If your theme uses the “WordPress 3” menu system then you have far more control, you can just create a custom menu and add, pages, posts, links, the category ‘blog’ to the menu, ann then just assign this to the Theme Location.

    A bit more information is really required about your theme, are you using a static home page, do you just need a template page to show a single category?

    Do you have the ‘WordPress 3’ custom menu option, Admin > Appearance > Menus with Menu Locations?
