Links to events from the list widget are not working.

Latest update Version 3.01 same issue – so just for your update Jonahcoyote – reloading the Widget results in the same issue – with the links not functioning until
we change as was discovered by saurabhkumarvaish

edit file – /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/widgets/list-widget.php

on line – 29 – replace tribe_get_event_link() by
tribe_event_link( $post );

*** Can you please include this or source the issue before the next update..

Please also note those of that have this issue also have a visual problem.
Some of us have the text in the widget all bunched up on top of each other ie lines too close together.
Others have huge spacing in between lines – only in the widget area.

I updated the plugin and now my links don’t work.

Tried all the suggestions above!

Hi–I too am having this problem, with the free version, alas.

Like urpluggedin, I cannot find the file the-events-calendar/views/widgets/list-widget.php in order to test saurabhkumarvaish’s fix.

I do see the-events-calendar/lib/widget-list.class.php and the-events-calendar/admin-views/widget-admin-list.php

Didn’t see an answer to urpluggedin’s query, so … is that “list-widget.php” plugin file missing from the free version, or is the fact that I can’t find it indicative of a deeper problem using Events Calendar along with my WP Events widget (using Harmony theme, btw)?

The Events Calendar has released a 3.0.1 updated. I have not yet updated my installation. Can anyone who has updated confirm/deny that this has fixed the issue?

In my case, it has not.

3.0.1 has the same issue,
You need to find the file in the back end like cpanel = if you have access not wordpress,.

@saurabhkumarvaish Thank you for the fix, I can’t believe tribe hasn’t fixed the issue, maybe they leave a huge bug in so that you will go and pay for the pro version.

Thanks for the fix @saurabhkumarvaish BUT once the widget didn’t work, and despite it working now, I can’t see all events either as a list or as a calendar view. – all I get is a load of incomplete code – any thoughts?

Has a solution been found for those who cannot find the file the-events-calendar/views/widgets/list-widget.php in order to test saurabhkumarvaish’s fix? I am also unable to find the file.

Sorry about the trouble here. We have this fixed in an upcoming release due out soon. In the meantime, please apply one of the fixes mentioned here.
