In this thread (which is about a much older WP-version) I found the suggestion to change index.php in /content/plugins/ to index.html to solve the problem, but this didn’t work: I got ‘Couldn’t load index.php’.

My recomendation is to go to the new 2.7 core upgrader (Tools>Upgrade) and reinstall 2.7. Most of the issues in the forums reguarding errors are caused by not all of the 2.7 core files getting uploaded. I just upgraded 8 blogs from 2.6.5 to 2.7 and after the first three, I stopped using the WP Automatic Upgrade Plugin as I kept getting similar errors. Each time I used the core upgrader to reinstall all the files and then each worked. The remaining 5 blogs I did a clean manual upgrade and never had any issues.

I have tried to reinstall via the core upgrader, but this doesn’t seem to do anything.
‘You do not need to upgrade. However, if you want to re-install version 2.7, you can do so automatically’
So I click ‘reinstall’ automatically, and afterproviding the login information I get immediately the message that my system up to date is… So I wonder if there has been anything reinstalled at all.

OK, I manually updated the side, but still a non-working link to the dashboard in the admin-sidebar…
