    Hello John,

I can see are a busy guy! I’m hoping you can help me out here.

I’m building a site of medical information. Each topic area has a number of tabs, such as Key Messages, Evidence, Glossary and References. The content with the Evidence tab often has a superscript number that must link right to the relevant article within the References tab.

I started out using a different shortcode set, which could not jump from tab to tab. But now, following your excellent documentation, I am able to jump from a link on the source tab to a target tab. But I am unable to jump from a link on a source tab to a specific anchor within a target tab. This is an important feature for medical folks.

I’ve tried adding an id (e.g. id=”appendix1″) to the link, with no results, and futzed around with many other combination. You can see my attempt in the top green box at: https://prenatalinfo.marklandhouse.com/smoking-arkonix/#tab-KeyMessages

Is my syntax incorrect, or is there no way currently to accomplish this?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for using my plugin. Unfortunately I’m not aware of a way to nest ID selectors like you want. It comes down to the browser understanding there are two selectors at play and that the 1st one needs to be fired first and the second after the tab has been loaded (because the tab content is invisible until then).

    Hi John,

Thanks for the quick answer – you’ve saved me a lot of experimentation time. It’s a great plugin anyway!
