  • I have two implementations of CF7, one each on two websites. There are no links to advertisements that I can see. How about including either a link to what you are talking about or a screen-shot to show your ‘problem’?

The link to an ad shows up on Google Chrome, but not on Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Opera. The words “Your Email” on the form are a pop-up link to an advertisement.

I am not sure why this happens in Chrome and not the other browsers though.

    I don’t know how to include a screen-shot.

I just verified what you are talking about. I just viewed you form in FireFox, IE and Chrome and I see the link for the word Email in Chrome. I have experienced the same thing a number of times in FF and IE. The reason I haven’t seen this in Chro9me is simple – I just use Chrome to verify a website I’m working on to make sure it displays correctly. In fact, it is happening on two links as I am typing this. On the right side, under About this Topic, there is an item that reads This topic is not resolved. resolved is a link and is in blue and underlined (the other links are NOT underlined). When I mouseover the word resolved, a link pops up having to do with making money working at home.

My guess, and the operative word is guess, is that this is some sort of virus. It’s easy to say that but, I can’t come up with another possibility.

If you find out anything about this, please let me know.

Looks like we are both infected:

I removed all the extensions I had on Google Chrome and the advertising links are now gone. Whew! Glad to know though that it wasn’t the Contact Form 7 plugin.

Never would have thought about that! I removed all the extensions on both Google Chrome and Firefox and my sites display correctly with no surprises! Thanks for the suggestion!
