    Hi,

I just bought the Premium versión of the plugin, but have problems with its functionality.

Many links are redirecting me to my website’s homepage:

It started with the RELATED PRODUCTS links, then it happened with NEXT & PREVIOUS PRODUCT links; now I can’t return to the catalogue when I enter the background product section.

    The shortcode I’m using is: [product-catalogue id=’9′]

Need your help. This is for a client and I didn’t anticipate bug issues with your product.

P.S.: Given that everything was working fine up to some point, I thought about reseting the plugin settings by desinstalling it and errasing it… it didn’t work. Now I’m hesitant about errasing direct files from the database because of the warning made by YIG in the unresolved “reset all catalog settings” topic of this forum.

  • Hi Juan,

That sounds like your links are just resulting in a 404 error and that your site is set up to redirect pages that aren’t found to the homepage. It’s probably one of two things.

Do you have your catalog set up on the homepage of your site? If so, then you need to make sure that you have “Maintain Filtering” (in the “Basic” area of the “Options” tab) set to “No”, as that feature can cause redirect issues if your catalog is on the homepage.

Alternatively, do you have “Pretty Permalinks” (in the “SEO” area of the “Options” tab) set to “Yes”? If so, then you need to make sure that you have input a unique slug for each and every product you have, or else the links for the product pages will not work.

    Hi Etoile Web Design.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. My problema is finaly solved (www.electrofrio.com.bo/catalogo).

I want to share my experience with the community:

The thing was that I tried to publish my catalog as a POST because my theme alowed me to eliminate the sidebar in those sections, and that gave me more space. The problem I exposed in this feed occured, I think, because I was working on an unpublished post in which I previewed my catalog before publishing it.

When the support team mentioned, in part of the first paragraph of their answer, that “the page wasn’t found”, that made me think that my unpublished post was the problem. What’s weird is that at the begining, everything was working fine with the catalog, even while being revised on preview mode.

Finaly, I decided to search for a plugin that enabeled the option to eliminate the sidebar within the PAGES section, and moved my catalog there.

Everything’s working great, thanks a lot EtoileWebDesign.

P.S.: My catalog is still in “content development mode”, but the general structure is working fine.
