• Thank you for the wonderful theme. In the Social Media Icons in the Header block, I need to add a link other than HTTP/HTTPS. I add a link like dchub://, but it doesn’t work. Do you have any ideas?

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry, I don’t believe there’s built-in a way to do this. What is the full link you’re hoping to add?

    Kindly,

Hi, hannah. This is a link of the Direct Connect file sharing protocol. The link looks like dchub://example.org. Such links work fine everywhere in WordPress, for example – such a link works fine in the footer in the form of an image. But in this case, in the Cadence Social Media block in the header, they automatically change their appearance to https://example.org

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the additional info.

It doesn’t work in Gutenberg Social Icons block either. Here’s a recording: https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nu6ENxR

You could try using the Kadence Icon block. Here’s a video showing it worked: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuOebJE

You can add it within the header using Kadence Hooked Element and paste the element’s shortcode in the header HTML widget, you may refer to the first video above.

You can upload custom icons to your site using the Kadence Blocks Pro plugin. Here’s a guide: https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-blocks/documentation/pro-addon/custom-icons/

Let us know if this workaround works for you.

    Kind regards,
    Chito
