Links not working in Blog

Anyone have any idea how to establish a link a wordpress blog that brings the photo into the blog? I have tried a live link, and also a non live link to my other site that hosts my photos for storage with no luck. I am trying to get the photo I reference through the link to show in the blog post. Any advice would be great thanks.
