links not working

You are using a commercial theme, I would recommend you contact them via their support forum for assistance.

The support is slow compared to here, but I updated the latest version, and that’s fixed the linking issue, but now the box is much bigger than it should be and everything in it is skewed to the left.

I would contact your theme support. Try to see if you can find a home page or splash page in your theme editor.
