Hello, I hope someone can help.

    It’s about our charity website:
    https://openarts.net

    1. We have a widget on our side bar to show the last few blog posts and we have headed it ‘latest news’.

The problem is that if you click any of these links it doesn’t take you to the blog post in question, but to a different page instead, and always to the same page.

The page it goes to is this one:
    https://openarts.net/classes-projects/luminous-soul

I tried to find the html link so I could fix it, but I can’t find the html or why this should be happening.

    Please could someone help?

    Thank you.

    2. I have a separate problem with the tags and categories.

If you click on any of the tags or categories links on a blog post or page, it claims not to be able to find ‘the server at openarts.nettag’ or ‘the server at openarts.netcategory’. But I know it’s all there! When I am editing, I can see it all and work on the tags etc fine. What is going on?

    Thanks again.

  • Delete your .htaccess and refresh your permalinks via Settings->Permalinks.

If the problem persists, deactivate plugins. If the problem is solved reactivate plugis, one-by-one to see if the problems is resolved.

Brilliant! That’s where the weird link was, in the Permalinks.

I still have to figure out how to do .htaccess now.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. I managed to solve the permalink problem without deleting .htaccess

It seems the widget we were using did not work with the ‘pretty’ permalinks that had been set up, so I reset the permalinks to default and problem solved.

    2. And this has solved the tags and categories links problems too!

    All resolved.

    Thanks again for your help.
