    Hi…I have tried pretty much everything in the documentation for address the problem of links not working when I click the image. the only thing I can think of is that there is code from our developer that is keeping the plug in code from working. I’m pretty novice and dont want to screw up things by adding in strings of code. can you confirm if that is indeed the problem — and if it is give me some guidance to fix it? We are a nonprofit and cant afford the fees for our developer to help us — I think i can handle it with some guidance.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    I’ll try to take a more in-depth look at this later but in the short-term could you confirm whether the gallery links work if you put a gallery in a normal post or page rather than in the side widget? Thanks!

    I am having the same problem with a Genesis theme. I put the url I want to image to link to, but it is still linking to the attachment page. I have already tried turning off other plugins. Everything is up to date. WP version 4.9.2, Genesis version 2.5.3, Generate Pro 2.1.1

    Hi Sally. Can you provide a link to your site? Thanks!

    Is it the section with the ‘Flatbed Towing’ ‘Collision Recovery’ etc? Could you confirm that the Gallery settings have Link To set to ‘attachment page’ and that the images have a Gallery Link URL set.

    Yes, that is the section. All settings are as above.

    Strange. I think the next step would be to try disabling other plugins to see if one of them is blocking this one. If you are able to give me a test account in your system send details to [email protected] and I’d be happy to investigate for you…

    I tried turning off all the other plugins, same result. I did notice, regardless of other plugins, that when I hover over the image, the intended link appears briefly on the bottom of the screen like it should, then switches to the one for the attachment page. I have added the intended link to the first item, Flatbed Towing. This is a staging site; I will send credentials to your email.

    Please confirm you received credentials.

    I did, thanks. I’ll take a look as soon as I can.

    Any luck on this? My client is getting antsy.

    I think the issue is that your gallery isn’t in a post but in your theme’s homepage setup. I don’t have that theme so can’t test it, but I recently had success with the following when someone who was trying to use the plugin in a widget. Let me know if it works – if it does I’ll work on releasing an update that handles these situations.

    ? Open the file?wp-content/plugins/wp-gallery-custom-links/wp-gallery-custom-links.php
    ? Change line 204 (or 205, whichever one begins with $attachment_ids = ) to read:?$attachment_ids = $attr[‘ids’];
    ? Comment out lines 215, 216, 217
    ? Save the file.

    Worked like a charm! Incorporate it if you can. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite plugins.

    Great news. I’ll hopefully get an update out next week that will incorporate this fix. Thanks for the update.
