Links not showing

Is there any help out here or are people just being ignored for some reason?

It’s holidays, so the forums are very quiet in general. But what do you mean? The links in the post? Why not just making them links again? No idea why the <a href would have fallen away during upgrading, but getting them back can’t be that hard. I have no idea why a link in a post is sometimes a link, sometimes not. Perhaps when you look at the code of the post (not “visual”) there might be a clue.

If I check my post in admin I see the link properly in the visual editor and it looks like that: https://tinyurl.com/6jostw in the html editor.
If I open the post itself no links are showing (see examle link in first post). If you look on other post you can see the links?! I have no Idea why sometimes it works and sometimes not.

In the html editor your link should look like this:
<a href="https://tinyurl.com/6jostw">https://tinyurl.com/6jostw</a> otherwise it’s just text. If you have a look at the next post (israel dispatches…), you’ll see that the source of the quote (arutz 7) IS linked correctly. I think an url was automatically changed into a link before and now no longer. If you go to the https://tinyurl.com/6jostw text and click the “link” button, you can make it a link again.
Perhaps you used to work in the “visual editor” and now you use the “html editor”?

that looks alright. Have you tried if it’s your theme, or perhaps browser (I’m on IE6 at work, no alternatives to try here)?

I am using Firefox and I also just checked in IE – same problem, it’s not the browser.

What should I check in the theme?

(Don’t get in trouble at work!)

Just try to change to default theme and see if that makes a difference.

If you make the link again in “manage” “post” does that make a difference? If not, I’m out of suggestions……….

I tried this before, it didn’t work. Do you think it’s some bug or a plugin?

Like I said: I’m out of suggestions. You can of course disable all your plugins (do you have one that has something to do with links?), but I don’t think it’s something in WP. I don’t have the problem and as far as I know, noone but you reported it.
