    Hello,

I’m using the latest wordpress and EP social widget versions, WP 3.5 and EP Social 1.1.5 and I have installed the widget on the sidebar. Trouble is, when I specify a profile link (I have Twitter, Facebook and Youtube) it doesn’t get saved. Instead, when I revisit those fields, I end up having just a “h” character there, probably a leftover from the “http” that the link begins with.

Maybe it’s worth noting that the blog is in a subdirectory, like website.com/blog

    Could you please investigate?

    Hi,

Did you install the plugin for the first time with version 1.1.5 or did you update from an older version of the plugin?

Try to uninstall the plugin and re-install it and see if that helps.

Of course it didn’t work. Should I uninstall, log out, log in, reinstall and such things? Clear some cache, delete some leftover files?

    This is the blog:

EP Social Widget is where it says “Stalk us?” and there should be a Twitter, Facebook and Youtube links there.

And by the way, you might want to add a Vimeo icon, too :))

    This is very strange.

No matter how I try on my local environment, I cant replicate your problem. So for the moment I have no clue to why it won’t work for you.

Vimeo will be added in the upcoming version 1.2.0 of the plugin.

Glad to hear about Vimeo, do you want to have a look around my site? I’d trust you with an account there, to be honest. Maybe it’s an incompatibility with some other plugin or something.

    Hi,

I’m sorry but don’t have time for that as I have a huge pile of work atm.

What you can try yourself is as you mentioned, see if any other plugin is interfering. You can do so by deactivate all plugins. If it works then, activate on plugin at a time to see which one it is that is causing the trouble.

I’m having the same problem. Our FaceBook and Twitter icons were functioning correctly until about four weeks ago. Both logos disappeared, and now, when I try to reinstate them, I end up having just a “h” character in both fields. Haven’t found any other plugins causing the problem.

I have the same problem as the others with FB and twitter.

As a follow-up, I deleted the widget, and added it again and now things are working.
