Links in Top Category

Is there a way to show all links from subcategories of a top category to show up. For example:
Category: Life Science
Sub Categories: Animals, Fish, Birds
All links for these three subcategories to show up under the main category “Life Science” when selected, or links showing up individually under their own subcategories if selected.
