I think posting URLs in comments should be banned by default. If the user want people to post URLs, then they should be able to turn the ban off in the options.

Sure’ it’s pretty easy to add “http” and “www” to the Comment Blacklist, but there so many people out there that doesn’t think about this and so many blogs get destroyed by spammers.

    What do you guys think?

Banned how? You mean, IP-banned? That won’t work. It’s a mouse chased by a cat. Whatever you do, they will always find a way in to post spam comments. There are laws in any country, and there are people who don’t abide by them. Even if punishment were death, they wouldn’t stop violating them.

In case you didn’t know, you could use Options > Discussion > Comment Moderation and set the number of hyperlinks to 1.

No, not IP banned. But we can ban http,www,.com,.net,.org and so on and disable the URL-field.
