Links flag as broken when not – hundreds of them!

Do all of these links have anything in common (e.g. the same domain name, or file type, etc)? What error message does the plugin display for those links?

A common problem that can cause lots of false positives (working links flagged as broken) is that some hosting providers disable loopback connections. That is, they prevent scripts running on the server from connecting back to the same server. Since the plugin runs on your server, this prevents the plugin from loading any page that’s part of your site. As a result, all internal links show up as broken, while external links are processed correctly.
