Links disappear on upload

Are you running any plugins? Try disabling them and see if the problem still exists.

Yes I have tried that.

It is most perculiar. I have checked all my security, .htaccess etc.
I really can’t think what else it might be.

And there’s nothing in your functions.php that is filtering the_content at all? Are the links showing up when you edit the post again?

yes. they are there through preview but not when uploaded. Page source confirms that.

And then they are fine when I go into edit.

If I add links to old posts or pages they show up fine…..

It’s possible something is filtering your content on initial upload only (but you say it’s not a plugin) — perhaps something in your theme? You might try switching briefly to the default theme and see if it’s also a problem there.

Outside of that, I’m out of ideas short of viewing the problem first hand.

Check with these options:

– Disable all the plugins
– Upgrade your wordpress version to the latest version
– Assign 755 recursive permissions to wp-content folder.
– Remove all unwantec code from htaccess
– Check with default theme in order to ruled out theme level issue.

Thank you for all your help. Having already done all that and subsequently getting some weird occurrences on the website, I contacted the hosting company and it appears it was as there end.

After many wasted hours, it appears to have resolved itself.
