First love this theme, one of the best. But i have a problem, I’m using on-page scroll and using elementor. On my project i made also an another page, and i put these link: https://example.com/#id. but this kind of link highlight all the menu links (used in this type of url ID). Hope someone give me a help.

  • Hi @plosti22

What you’re seeing here is actually a WordPress limitation, not something with the theme. WordPress does not know how to properly recognise anchor navigation systems.

There are ways to mitigate this, but they’re not perfect.

You might want to check out this tutorial video for an example – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/video-tutorials/advanced-tutorials/setting-up-anchor-navigation/. Though, I must say that it doesn’t work in all cases due to the way WordPress itself works like.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks!

    Hello @plosti22

Like I said, this might not cover all cases due to the way the web/Wordpress software works like. ??

What you would need to do is insert your links as #anchors directly, without the main domain. But that will mean that you will need to use a different menu for the other pages that don’t use #anchor navigation.

There is simply no perfect solution for this use case. Sorry, but that’s how things go sometimes.

    Thank you.

@cteduard thank you for your answer and support.

I tried to use some plugins to use different menu but not work at well, if anyone know the right plugin?

    Hi @plosti22

Unfortunately I do not have a specific plugin recommendation to make, but as an incentive to upgrade you might want to take a look at Blocksy Pro, as it has this feature built right in – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/video-tutorials/blocksy-premium/exploring-conditional-headers/

    Thanks!

Update: I tried with another free theme and is Ok no problem with hover state, hope you fix this problem because I like Blocksy!

    Hello @plosti22

Maybe that theme has built in hacks for your specific scenario? What theme did you use?

I’m really sorry, but there’s simply “nothing to fix”. All default themes from the 202x series behave the same. That’s simply how WordPress’ menu system works like.

    Thank you.

I test with Rife Free v.2.4.16.1

    Hello @plosti22

Exactly as suspected – this theme has implemented its own hacks for this, but at the cost of performance and very likely not covering all the possibilities out there.

If you were to test all other themes, you will see the behaviour is exactly the same. ??

Anyway, to keep this discussion short, I’ll note this down in our to-do list for future consideration by our devs, though I cannot promise anything about it.

    Thanks again!

I finded a solution for those using elementor insted puting the link:

    www.domain.com/#anchorlink

    must be this way:

    www.domain.com/./#anchorlink

    Hope this help the others.
