Some links are automatically adding domain name and current page
-
I have a simple page called rifles-museum-tour that is just used for a couple links that open in new tabs. The two links go to different versions of the same virtual tour, but one is html5 and the other is .swf. The files being linked to were uploaded via ftp to the locations specified below.
I’m using the absolute paths for these two links. The following two links are what I am putting into the page editor (except example is my site name):
https://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/MuseumTourSmall/_html5/MuseumTourSmall.html
https://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/MuseumTourLarge/_swf/MuseumTourLarge.swfThe html5 link works completely fine, however the .swf link turns into the following when I view the site:
https://www.example.com/rifles-museum-tour/www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/MuseumTourLarge/_swf/MuseumTourLarge.swfSo for some reason it’s adding the domain name and the current page into the link for the .swf and I have no idea why. I’ve tried viewing the links in the page editor in the text tab rather than the visual tab, but it looks completely fine there, so I have no idea what the issue is.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you.
