links and images won’t save or publish

hi all

i hope you can help with this problem. whenever i save after adding a link or image wordpress directs firefox to my home page. when i go back to the edit page the changes i made can either still be showing or have disappeared.

can anyone advise on what i need to do to resolve this please.

btw, this also happens when i add a “more” or put text in italics
