What do you mean by “orphaned pages”? As for links, they should appear on your sidebar – although that will depend on the theme you are using

the links are not appearing on the sidebar. The theme is arclite.

As for orphaned pages, if you have a web site – https://www.website.com that links via a network to all other pages in the site, the pagerank will be fine. However, if you have a page that receives a link from other pages but does not link back, that is a drain on the pagerank. this blog actually does not have the www part, so it is website.com/blog. I do not know how it links with https://www.website.com and whether the structure would drain the pagerank.

This answer counts as a sarcastic remark. The previous post was an answer to the questions regarding the theme & orphaned pages. I did not provide my url because I was only asking for basic info, not site specific. Further, I do not feed sarcasm.

Yahoo hosting recommends this tool to their customers so they can imbed a blog into their web site. I have a call into management there to discuss some of the damage from their old blog to my site. Their recommendation of a tool with no technical support (not as they advertise to their customers), and one where help only comes in the form of errant posts from strange people on a forum does not reflect positively on Yahoo’s professionalism…

To you — maybe. On the other hand, maybe youre reading emotion into an emotionless response. I wouldnt be so quick to attach feelings to something so benign.

Im sure you can come up with alternative replies. Im equally sure that I can come up with alternative replies to “I’ll just ditch this product… ” also.

You call this professional conduct? If you are confused about the issue, you can ask for a clarification.

I didnt ask for clarification because at the point I read your replies, I had already decided not to bother. Anything I did happen to suggest was for someone else’s benefit — not mine.

Ive explained my position and my opinion.

For future reference, I’m not employed by this site, and neither is esmi. This is a volunteer support populated by people that put their pants on JUST the same way you do.

I MIGHT just as easily suggest to YOU that you were the ONE who was not professional — especially since you apparently had some expectation of that being the case from the outset..

You get what you asked for, and I can tell you that anytime you go on a freely provided support forum, and immediately throw the virtual temper tantrum bit of “ill just stop using .. blah blah” when you dont get the answer you want, then youre not going to get friendly replies.

Try that anywhere else and see where you land.

As you are unwilling to look at anything that involves YOUR initial response .. I really dont see any point in continuing this. Youve moved on anyway.. Frankly, and I say this most unapologetically — I wont miss you. There are hundreds of people around here more deserving of support, and more grateful for it.
