Linking woocommerce extension v2 to Facebook not working

Same with me. It keeps loading while showing this message: Linking WooCommerce Extension V2 to Facebook

I found a fix for it, thankfully, since the people who actually make the plugin, woo-commerce and facebook are totally unhelpful.

Delete the current facebook for woocommerce plugin you already have installed. Go to facebook and download the older version of the extension. DO NOT UPDATE THE EXTENSION. Go to the settings button and follow the prompts and you will be able to connect your store. I’m still working on connecting it to instagram and other details but I’m finally getting somewhere.

The update is trash and they should remove it until it works properly because I am seeing this problem mentioned often. Especially since they aren’t really helpful in acknowledging and fixing the plug in.

This extension has complicated my existence on my website, I cannot link the products or anything with it, the truth is that the update has been a disaster, I have written to facebook as well as to woocommerce and they do not give me an answer on how to solve this problem.

I can not update the catalog or link with facebook apart from other errors that I see that everyone claims without assistance.

We’ve released a few additional updates recently to address some of these issues and Facebook has made some progress here as well.

Would you please tell me a little bit more about where you are experiencing the issue? Are you planning on sticking with 1.11.x for the time being?

When you try to connect your business to fb it just stays on the loading screen with no progress. I don’t plan on updating my plugin until I see that it is actually working from other users. Why would I update to something that doesn’t work from something that does?

Thank you for your reply here. I completely understand what you mean and, if you feel comfortable with version 1.11.x, you certainly have the option to stay there for the time being.

With over 450,000 active installations of version 2.x, the number of people that are unable to connect is a relatively small percentage. Though you’ve not had success yet, I would encourage you to give it another try in the near future. We’re working hard alongside Facebook to get these bugs fixed up as quickly as possible!
