Linking UPC to Woocommerce
-
I installed the premium version and attempted to hook it up to my Woocommerce database. After it was “done” I had 155 of my 659 products in the products tab. I don’t know how to get the rest of the products visible.
I also do not know how to get all my products into at least one default catalog that I can paste into page. I cannot find any video, tutorial or faqs on how to configure the Woocommerce database to your product.
Please help! This looks like a good fit for my 600+ and growing product set.
Thank you.

Hi disabilityaides,
Is the first time you are attempting a sync? Any previoulsy-synced items won’t re-sync by default.
Are all 155 part of the same category? Or do they all have the same tag or attribute, etc.?
Are you using any other WooCommerce extensions that add special attributes to products?
Do you have access to your database (i.e. via phpMyAdmin)? If so, are the products there?
The WooCommerce sync will not automatically place them in a catalog. You need to do that after the sync.
Yes, this is the first time I am performing a sync. I just compared my woocommerce database and what I see in the UPC and even the categories that did come across aren’t showing ALL the products in that category.
The 155 is across 3 out of my 4 main categories. One category doesn’t even show any products. I can only see the products in my WP admin panel in the Products/All Products tab. I don’t have or know how to access the database other than through the WP panel.
I am not running any Woocommerce addons except Woocommerce New Product Badge and using Woozone to import the products from Amazon. I am an Amazon Affiliate.
I figured out how to add my categories and sub-categories to a new catalog I called “All Products Catalog” and then embed the slug into a page for viewing. I like the three layouts but noticed the price doesn’t show on the Thumbnail view, only the list and Detail views. I can’t figure out how to fix that. Help!
I did figure out how to resize the boxed layout so products in rows and columns are uniform. Not ideal as there are gaps of white space in some products but it is a minor acceptable view.
I really like this product and think it will finally solve my problem of displaying the growing product lists on my site. However, I need to make sure all the products show in the UPC or it won’t work as my ideal tool!
Do you have any documentation or videos on the Woocommerce integration? I couldn’t find anything that would help with these issues.
Thanks for your help!
Update – 10/28/17
I did a sync on my Woocommerce database (as required by Amazon) to update my prices. The UPC brought in more products in existing categories and some of the sub-categories. It brought over some sub-categories but with no products. Some of the category/sub-categories updated to the correct number of products in the Woocommerce database and some only brought over about 90%.
After the sync was finished I reloaded my product page – https://disabilityaides.com/all-products-catalog and it is now a blank page with no product listing! Help!
Your product is the only one I found after weeks of looking and testing that can handle the remotely hosted Amazon images! If we can iron out these problems it will be a great solution I will pass along to other Amazon Affiliates!
Thanks.
Hi,
We do have a video that talk about the UPCP WooCommerce integration here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQMkiEG9gNg, but I’m not sure it’ll help in addressing the type of issue you’re having.
If you create a new product in WooCommerce, is it synced over to UPCP?
Your issue with the sub-categories and categories could be due to the fact that, in UPCP, a product can only be assigned to one category and one sub-category. So, when it syncs, it won’t assign to any if you have more than one on the WooCommerce side.
For your blank page, what is the exact shortcode you are using?
I have a single use page – https://disabilityaides.com/all-products-catalog with shortcode [product-catalogue id=’3′].
I brought in 8 new products and deleted 5 from my Woocommerce database. Those changes do not reflect in the UPCP. Just tried viewing the product page and it is still blank. It takes a while looking like it is going to load and then nothing shows.
I think you answered another question about why some other products don’t show. I have 3 levels of categorization. I will need to shorten that to 2 levels to make them sync.
I get the price to show on 2 layouts but not the main thumbnail views. Did I not select something or is this a bug?
I also noticed in the list view a regular price fits nicely on on the line but a sales price is a larger font and doesn’t fit in one line. It makes the page look very messy. I can live with the two other tabbed views if that cannot be fixed.
Thanks for your help!
Are you using the “Block” catalogue style? By default, that one does not show the price in the thumbnail view. All other styles show the price in all views.
I’m sure the sale price font can be adjusted with custom CSS. I don’t see any catalog at the link you provided. If you could let us know what page you have the catalog on, perhaps we could suggest some CSS to help.
If you delete something from WooCommerce, it won’t automatically delete from UPCP.
Ok. I will check the other styles for showing price, but I really like the “Block” style best.
When I try to view the catalogue page it churns for a bit and then displays a blank page. However, you can see there is a white page present as it covers my top menu drop-ins. I don’t know what it is doing but you can see activity in your taskbar area but nothing visible happens. I have a screenshot if there is somewhere I can upload it. My output page is https://disabilityaides.com/all-products-catalog .
If the two products are linked why wouldn’t the UPCP be update when Woocommerce changes? Is the same process as when I add new items to Woocommerce? It seems the two applications should be fluid once connected.
Hi disabilityaides,
Did you disable the Ultimate Product Catalogue plugin on your site? We went to https://disabilityaides.com/all-products-catalog and only the text for the shortcode appears now.
If you disabled it due to the blank page you mentioned earlier, would you be able to either:
(1) reenable the plugin so we can test to try to view the blank page ?
or
(2) Send us the screenshot you mentioned in your previous post?As for the sync, it does update UPCP with changes made on the WooCommerce side, it just doesn’t automatically delete a product.
Hello,
I just re-enabled the plugin. It was causing my site to run slow and pitching a couple of errors.
How can I get you the screenshot? I don’t see any upload doc capabilities in this support forum.
Thank you.
Hello disabilityaides,
You could always use a website for posting your pictures and providing a link to that. For example, https://imgur.com/upload allows you to upload a picture and then provides you a URL to that picture so you can just share that URL anywhere to show that picture.
Best regards,
My images are all remotely referenced and hosted by Amazon. According to our Affiliate agreement we are not allowed to download them locally. My site did show the product catalog until I did a sync in Woocommerce, as also is required by Amazon, and then it went to a white page. Would that always happen every time you do an update to your Woocommerce database?
I prefer not to use an outside service and keep everything local to my site. Are you able to determine what’s causing the problem? If not, can I get a refund on the product?
Thanks!
Hi,
For anything related to payments and refunds, could you please email us at [email protected]?
Thank you
