    I don’t think this is just me. I confirmed with a friend that he’s having exactly the same problem. Hasn’t anyone else seen this before? Isn’t there a solution?

    Gee, this is disillusioning. Doesn’t anyone even have a suggestion for me?

    ??

    I tried to reproduce this error
    a) on a local XAMPP install
    b) on an online testbed where I work on a new site
    but linking to any other comment always worked. I’ve tried doing it as a commenter from the frontend, and also as admin from the Manege > Comments > Edit subpanel. Also tried with wysiwyg and without – could never reproduce what you described above.

    Moshu, I appreciate you’re at least trying to replicate the problem, even if you were unsuccessful.

    I know I’m not the only one who’s having this problem because I know someone else who tells me he’s having the same issue.

    Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions how to fix it?

    Having the same problem.

    Could it have something to do with the theme?

    I’m using veryplaintext2.0.

    Any link to a comment form another post defaults to the relative url of the comment number only, thereby rendering the link dead.

    When I manually entered the link in the wysiwyg editor, then resaved the post, the entire post disappeared! There appears to be no way to work around this problem.

    This is fixed in WP 2.1 I think, in WP 2.0 go to /wp-includes/js/tinymce/tinymce.js and comment out lines 2803, 2804

    if (urlParts[‘anchor’] && urlParts[‘path’] == baseUrlParts[‘path’])
    return “#” + urlParts[‘anchor’];

    worked for me.
