Linking to a folder outside wp install

I need to be able to use same folder on two websites we own… is this possible?
CUrrently things on great-news site work just fine, but i would also like to display this info on sister company, and this way only upload one set of PDFs and still be able to display on multiple sites.Here is the shortcode im trying to use on My 2nd website
[documentfoldergallery folder=”../gnp/new/Newsletters/Calgary/{quadrant}/{folder}/2018″ sort=date width=113 height=140 subtitle=smartfilename]https://mycalgary.com/Error.jpg

Gallery displays just fine here:
