Linking issues plus album doesn't link to gallery

I would buy the pro version if I knew it would solve all of these issues. Please advise if this is the case.
The shortcode creator in the visual editor is placing incorrect code into the document.
I manually entered shortcode and it has partially resolved the issue. (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-shortcodes/)
There is definitely a problem with the links. (see https://production1.documentarymedia.ca/2013-rds-athletics/
1. In visual editor, shortcode creator (last icon, right side, 1st row)
The shortcode it creates should coincide with the shortcode provided on developer’s page and does not.2. The albums don’t link to anything, including the corresponding gallery
3. When the “show slideshow” link is clicked, the “show thumbnails” does not link back to page with thumbnails
4. None of the templates work. I need a carousel with back/next navigation and thumbs – as seen on developer’s page
5. Image browser gallery does not display the image
