Linking individual images to pages – new version?

Hey,
Ive been trying to get individual images to link to pages instead of the lightbox. Found some ways, halfway trough working them I found out they were like 4 years old…seems to be that way for most if not all solutions I find to my issues today, anyone got a way that will work with the recent version?
