Linking images issues

  • Hey there,

    Im uploading images to my site and for some reason, every time I click on them, instead of them going to a blank page with the image only,its linking to some page in the site. Why is that?

  • When adding an image choose file url.

    When Im making a new page, and i insert the image through the icon, dont it generate the url then?

    When you choose the image one of the choices that comes up along with alt name, caption, etc. is url.

    You can pick none, file url (which will be the picture itself and works great if the original image is large) or the attachment post url which will open the image within the site and have your header, sidebar, etc.

    Thanks so much, I understand now. Ok last question. Now if i want the image to link to another page, then when you click on that page, it goes to the file url, how do that work?

    If you choose attachment post url when you click on the image it will show up on the attachment page. If you click on that image you will go to image file itself.

    You know, you can test all the choices with using a test post and preview.
