• Hi

Twenty Twenty is a great theme, and by far one of thes best themes that WordPress has provided. But I have come across a UX flaw which has confused my users.

When viewing posts in a Category, only the Title is clickable to get to the full post. Adding a read more/read full post button below the summary and also making the image click able would be a great improvement.

Any suggestions on how to do this in the best way?

  • Hi there!
I thought the same as you ??

There is a simple way: with a Child Theme. Are you familiar with it?

At my blog, my archives are shown in two columns (instead of one) and the image is clickable. I didn’t add the “read more” button because it was too much (for me)

Bottom line is, you’d need to:
    1) Create a Child Theme (with two files, very simple)
    2) Create an Archive’s page and customizing it as you want (to display clickable images and to add the read more button)

Here’s a tutorial from WordPress on How to Create Child Themes.
I’m about to publish a full tutorial for my child theme at my blog if you’re interested.

    I hope this helps!
    Stay safe ??
