• Hi Anyone Who Can Offer Guidance…

I’ve been linking pictures enough to know the proper procedure, but a theme I purchased has me stumped. I’m hoping someone may have run into a similar problem and knows a work-around solution.

When I link a picture in a post to a destination url, it goes nowhere. Clicking the image just brings up a transparent screen covering the blog, as though it were trying to load something.

The coding and destination are correct. I’ve tried loading the image into the media file and linking it. Also tried the image as a source from off the blog and linking it. Nothing seems to work in getting it to the destination url, even though everything appears correct in the link coding.

Any thoughts about what is causing this and how to correct it? I like the theme and would hate to have to dump it.

    Thanks.

  • Could be the theme or it could be a conflict caused by one of your existing plugins. Try temporarily switching to the default theme and see if that helps. If you still have a problem, try deactivating all plugins and check to see if your image links now work. If they do, activate the plugins one by one – checking the linked images after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).
