Linking Existing WP blog to a subdomain

Hello,

If I link an existing WP blog that has more than 600 posts to a subdomain, will the permalinks (URL of the post) of individual posts change? And how will this affect the Home page URL?

For example,
Current URL: https://mysite.com/Fruits/catgeory/post-title
Fruits is subdirectory where WP is installed.

After linking the WP blog (Fruits in this example) to Subdomain (fruits.mysite.com), will the existing post URLs automatically change to
https://fruits.mysite.com/category/post-title?

or
Will manual editing be required?

or
URL will be
https://fruits.mysite.com/Fruits/category/post-title

I would prefer https://fruits.mysite.com/category/post-title. Is it possible to do it easily and quickly? I mean without technical hassles.
