Linking a simple .pdf file

  • Using the latest version….I can not get the link function to work at all in my website….uploaded the pdf to the media library….went to the “page where the pdf was to be linked” and clicked on the insert link button but nothing happens….finally had to accept a funny “attacHment” link…..but can not do any linking at all….it appears this has been resolved a couple of years ago…..and last it worked properly for me up until last month. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • When you’re editing the page that those links are on, if you don’t get the pop-up window when you click the Link button on the tool bar, then it’s probably a problem with the browser you are using, not WordPress.
    Is javascript disabled, maybe?

    Same thing today…updated an outstanding update for Java….checked to see if the JS was enabled…it was…used Chrome…then tried MIE same thing happened…no pop up window…..
