• Hi:

Can’t find a reason for why LinkedIn doesn’t pull the correct image from the wp post. Pulls the wrong image. Posting via Hootsuite. Haven’t had the problem before using this plugin. I start using the plugin for having the images appear on some third party sites, that works fine now. Only linkedIn is doing strange now.
Does it have to do with the image size?
There isn’t a “use original size” feature for the summary option right?

I hope you could suggest something.

    Thanks.

As far as I know, Linkedin does not use feed data for how they choose images for posts on their site–they will use the featured image, or whatever you set in your Open Graph tags.

This post for a Linkedin thumbnail workaround isn’t very new but I found it with a quick google search and some other sites linked to it as well.

This plugin is really for the feed only, and intended for users who need a good image solution with email providers, which is why the original image size is not available as an option, because it’s quite often too large. The smaller images are just smaller copies, so the size shouldn’t cause what you’re seeing, even if Linkedin is looking at your feed.

If you need a solution to help with social sharing, I don’t think this plugin is what you’re looking for. Some of the more robust social sharing plugins allow you to select specific images for specific networks; I believe Yoast’s SEO plugin also does this.
