Hi, I would like to know how to customize the image that Linkedin takes. Everything works fine with Facebook, but Linkedin takes the featured image of the post, not the image added in Open Graphite.

    Hi,

I just replied to your email. Here’s a copy/paste for the convenience of others who might have the same question.

The free version of open Graphite has Linkedin support, and in fact it just looks for the same open graph tags that Facebook does.

The problem is that when your page is shared on Linkedin, they index in that current state (some users have reported for as long as 10 days), and so any changes you make will get ignored.

There is no real solution that will force Linkedin to immediately get the latest information from your page (aside from some known hacky work-arounds that aren’t actually reliable), and so you’ll just have to wait it out.

I realise this isn’t perfect, but there isn’t anything that can be done to get around it.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

I understand that it can be like this in old publications that have already been checked by Linkedin, but it happens the same in new publications, it takes the featured image and not the image of the module.

If this can be solved with the Pro version I can buy it, but I need confirmation that this is the case.

    Hi,

    That’s highly unusual.

I’m not convinced the pro version will help. But if you do try it and it doesn’t make any difference, you can get a refund within 30 days.
