• Hello,

I would like to insert a link in my posts that says “Link to This Blog”

I assume it does what it says – let the visitor link to your blog when he/she presses on that link.

I know I’ve seen this somewhere but forget where, does anyone here how to set that up?

    thanks!

    thanks chris,

but isn’t the permalink’s purpose is to bookmark a post? I’m not sure if that’s what i’m looking for unless you can bookmark the index page (how would you do that if anyone knows)

I looked at engadget and I see in the middle column there’s a link that says “link to engadget”. I looked at the source code and all it does is link to itself.

how do you get sites to link to your blog?

i also see in technorati.com (the search engine for blog) that some sites have numerous links. how do you go about getting others to link to your blog?

    thanks for any help ??

They just need to add a link to your site from their site like in their blogroll or somewhere else that remains on their index page.

there’s no way of making this easier for them ??

i clicked on that link from engadget and all it did was refresh the page. i don’t know what the purpose was behind that for.

You might be thinking of Blogrolling’s “blogroll me” link. Where, if you’re logged into blogrolling, you can click on that link and it’ll automatically the link to your blogroll.

But, blogrolling is centrally located. Only blogrolling accounts can link to eachother from that link, and all accounts/links are stored on the same server.

WP has no such function because it isn’t centrally located.
