    Hi

    I’ve got the cookiebot showing the info for the first time for a user. Please can anyone tell me how I create a page to show the info again after the user has hit okay?

  • Hi,

    Yes it is necessary to empty the cache of your browser, personally I do it with Ccleaner to see the banner reappear again on your site.

    Thanks. I think under the law people need to be able to go back and see their settings. I don’t think we can ask them to clear their browser cache.

    Visitors can also go to your site in the page dedicated to the privacy policy which must be precise and detailed personal data protection policy. Before clicking OK visitors are supposed to have read and selected their choices according to their expectations on the management of their personal data!

    Hi @jibberish666 and @yoanne

    You can create a new page called something like “Cookie Declaration” and add the following shortcode to it;

    [cookie_declaration]

    This will render a full cookie-declaration, including all your cookies.

    The Cookie Declaration also contains links to change or withdraw your consent.

    Moreover, if you want to place those links somewhere else, then you can do so by using our API;

    <a href="javascript: Cookiebot.renew()">Change your consent</a>

    <a href="javascript: Cookiebot.withdraw()">Revoke your consent</a>

    Rad more here;

    What is the Cookie Declaration (cookie policy) and what is included in it?

    For an example you can see our cookie-declaration.

    Hi @cookiebot

    Thank you very much for this. This did the trick.

    Hi @yoanne

    Thanks for your reply. I think you have to still allow people to see what it was they were agreeing to after they’ve agreed to it.

    Hi @jibberish666,

    I agree with you, this option could be interesting to allow visitors to modify their choices at the time of their visits.
    Sincerely
