@nanrector – Are you wanting to link from the “Thickbox” view of the image or from the image itself?

From the Thickbox view, sorry that functionality is not available although you could most likely put a “caption” on the image with a link that will appear when it is viewed.

Otherwise, as a link from the image itself you could use the [singlepic id=## link="https://example.com"] shortcode structure which will open the link in a new tab.

    Thanks!

@nanrector would you mind posting the settings you have used to create your thumbnail gallery? Is any of that custom?

I’m struggling to restore galleries that broke during these Nextgen upgrades. Now specifically I cannot edit the thumbnail view & the slideshow that opens up when you click on an image is not the same either.

    Thank you

@photocrati Thanks for responding! Well all I’m wanting is the ability to post an image from my gallery on Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest etc and when folks click on it it takes them to the picture INSIDE my site framework… as I’m trying to drive traffic to my new site. Right now all I can do is link to the image itself which is just on a blank page.

I know I can set up the gallery so that it opens a photo that way but then I lose the Thickbox feature on the site itself where it does that popup image. It appears with Thickbox set there is no way to get to the image inside the framework.

@kilenc9 you bet. I’ve not done anything custom. I just took screen shots of my settings screens. (The Watermark and Slideshow were left at default as I’m not using those)

@photocrati FYI With the gallery set to Thickbox the photos don’t show in the media center… and I can find no ID for each one. Unless I’m looking in the wrong place.
